Valentine Sunday is a special for everyone at Grace UMCLA. The Marriage Ministry at Grace UMCLA sponsors a gala event each year on the Sunday closest to Valentine's Day. First, during our worship celebrations at 7:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., all married couples stand at the chancel area and Rev. Hill leads a vow renewal ceremony. Rev. Prayer Requests Dear Lord, you know where we have the greatest need and sorrow. Teach us the words to form our prayers of thanksgiving, adoration and supplication even during our times of challenge, crisis and loss. The Dance Ministry at Grace UMCLA is comprised of three groups: For children (pre-school to elementary) - Anointed Angels For middle school (grades 6-8th) - Dynamic Dancers For high school and young adult - Dancing with Grace The dancers minister in Sunday worship celebrations and special church events. The Men's Choir, known as "The Chordsmen," under the direction of Earl Wooten, will not rehearse on Monday, September 12. However, rehearsals resume each Monday evening at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Prior musical training is not required. The Chordmen minister in worship each 4th Sunday and host an annual concert. Men of all ages are invited to join!
At Rolling Hills United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 10, 1-3 p.m., the people of the West District of the California-Pacific Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church will officially welcome our new Resident Bishop, Rev.
